2021 Volunteer of the Year: Judy Marsh

“Helping Our Women (HOW) – recognized their 2021 “Volunteer of the Year”, along with other volunteers and partners, at the 2nd Annual HOWIES award celebration. HOWIES stands for Helping Our Women’s Inspirational & Exceptional Supporters. Over 22 attendees attended this online event.

Judy Marsh of Eastham was recognized as the 2021 Volunteer of the Year “Heart of HOW” award for her outstanding volunteerism. Marsh generously donated over 105 hours of her time this past year taking food orders for our Mobile Food program, sending greeting cards, connecting with clients and much more. As one HOW member commented, “I am thankful for Judy’s kindness and time for conversation.” Katie Brandon, former AmeriCorps VISTA at HOW credits Marsh with expanding the Mobile Food Program, “Judy was the tipping point for growing this critical food service from 5 clients to 18 clients.” In her own words Marsh movingly reflects, “HOW helped me at a time when I was battling an illness and it was amazing that this group of women existed, they really saved my life and if I could volunteer for them one day I would.”
