Meet Leah, a single mother, Provincetown resident, and preschool teacher in Wellfleet who gets support from us to cope with multiple sclerosis (MS).
“I could not have achieved my level of recovery without the aid of HOW… The volunteer drivers I met were kind and supportive. We got to know each other and shared a bit of our lives. They even waited an hour each day to drive me home again.” A Wellfleet resident recovering from hip replacement surgery, Farny needed to go 44-miles round-trip to every physical therapy appointment — and she had a 6-week driving restriction — so she turned to HOW.
Thanks to donors like you, Farny received the care and connection she needed. Our team quickly arranged volunteer drivers who made the long journey with her—twice a week for six weeks.
